Our NDIS Support Program
Connect Kids now offers support workers to help NDIS participants to access their community and achieve their goals. All profits from this business go back into supporting our children’s mentoring program.
what’s the NDIS Program all about?
Our NDIS support business compliments our mentoring and tutoring in endeavouring to end the cycle of disadvantage within our community.
We believe that all children deserve to live a happy, healthy, and fulfilled life. Through these three initiatives and our strong collaborations with other allied healthcare service providers, we give children a chance to achieve this where otherwise they may become the marginalised adults of the next generation.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you are struggling to apply for NDIS support or are struggling to find relevant services and supports once you have received funding.
Our Mission
Working in an inclusive and collaborative teams’ environment to ensure the best outcomes for clients. We only take on clients when we feel that we can genuinely add value to the client’s service proposition.
Our Vision
To be there for those families who need help to navigate the complexity that is the NDIS and ensure that we can direct them towards the best supports available.
Meet the Team
We are proud to have some of the best Support Workers on the Sunshine Coast as part of the Connect Kids team. Meet them for yourself!

El is especially passionate about supporting at-risk youth and individuals with complex needs. She has a natural ability to build rapport quickly, creating safe spaces where people feel heard, respected and accepted without judgement. Supports with El might involve snorkelling, SUPing, fishing, skating, waterfall adventures, beach walks, community events, op-shopping, arts and crafts, cooking, gardening or simply reconnecting with the world around you. Rainy days don’t slow her down either — there’s always a creative project, thrifting mission or wholesome kitchen experiment waiting to happen.

Hi, I’m Jasper. I’ve been in the support game for three years now, and it’s my mission to make a real difference. Specializing in working with individuals dealing with complex psychosocial disabilities like ASD2 & 3, Schizophrenia, and PTSD, I’m all about helping people crush their goals and break through any barriers. I’m goal-driven, determined, and I’ve got the skills and mindset to help you get there.
When I’m not making a positive impact in the support world, you’ll probably find me living life to the fullest. I’m part of a rock band, where I play a bunch of instruments and bring the energy as a vocalist. Music is my outlet, my vibe, and it keeps me grounded. Outside the music scene, I’m always active—whether I’m hooping on the basketball court, kicking around a soccer ball, pushing myself in the gym with some weightlifting, or losing myself in a game. Whatever I’m doing, I bring a positive attitude, an upbeat mindset, and a focus on making things better, both for myself and those around me.
Let’s work together and make sure you hit those goals—I'm here to support you every step of the way.

Welcome to Riley’s world – a laid-back, hands-on legend with a heart as big as the West Australian coastline. Originally from Perth, Riley’s all about connection, creativity, and carving out a life full of purpose, passion, and a bit of adrenaline on the side.
A true believer in living life to the fullest, Riley finds joy in the outdoors and thrives on movement. Whether it’s surfing, wakeboarding, or skating, he’s always chasing that feeling of freedom that comes from doing something you love. For Riley, sport isn’t just about competition – it’s a way to express yourself, connect with the world, and feel grounded.
But there’s more to Riley than just boards and beaches. He’s a born tinkerer, creator, and restorer – the kind of person who sees potential in everything, whether it’s a blank canvas, a project car, or a moment that needs a little extra care. From bringing art to life to rebuilding old cars back to their former glory, Riley’s always building, crafting, and putting things back together – both literally and in the way he supports those around him.
As a support worker, Riley brings a gentle strength, a steady presence, and a deeply caring nature. He’s not just here to do a job – he’s here to listen, to show up with integrity, and to help people feel seen, safe, and supported. If you’re after someone who supports with heart, moves through life with purpose, and brings a bit of surf-soaked sunshine wherever he goes – Riley’s your guy.

Meet Sam — the kind of mentor who can hold his own in chaos, have a laugh when things get heavy, and still be the steady support young people can count on when life throws punches.
With a background that’s anything but ordinary, Sam brings a unique mix of toughness, authenticity, and heart into the youth work space. Armed with a Certificate IV in Youth Work and current experience supporting at-risk young people through mentorship and advocacy, Sam has a natural ability to connect with those who may struggle to trust others. No fake smiles. No judgement. Just real conversations, consistency, and someone willing to show up.
Before stepping into youth work, Sam spent years as a Combat Engineer in the Australian Army, learning discipline, resilience, leadership, and how to stay calm when everything around him is anything but. Add years of leading teams in high-pressure construction environments, and you’ve got someone who doesn’t crumble under pressure and knows how to handle tough situations with a level head.
These days, Sam channels all of that experience into supporting young people to build confidence, regulate emotions, navigate challenges, and find healthier pathways forward. Whether it’s helping someone through a rough patch, teaching practical life skills, hitting the gym, getting outdoors, or just having a solid yarn, Sam understands that real connection is often built in the simple moments.
Sam’s approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and grounded in genuine human connection. He believes every young person deserves someone in their corner — someone who listens, backs them, and helps them see what they’re capable of, even when they can’t see it themselves.
Reliable, down-to-earth, and impossible to rattle, Sam brings strong mentor energy with just the right balance of structure, humour, and real-world experience. The kind of support worker young people respect because he’s authentic, approachable, and genuinely invested in helping them win at life.

If sunshine, saltwater, engines and good humans had a spokesperson, it’d probably be Bowie Pollard.
Bowie has spent his life embedded in the surf world, competing, coaching and helping others within the surfing community. Bowie has be more managing Beach Beat surf shops for over 10 years — which means he knows his way around people, pressure, problem-solving and keeping cool when things get a little hectic. Deeply connected to his local community and naturally trusted by young people and families, Bowie has built a reputation as someone who shows up, has your back, and keeps things real.
When he’s not chasing waves, you’ll find Bowie elbow-deep in a classic car or motorbike restoration project, bringing old machines back to life one bolt at a time. He’s also a big believer in hitting the open road. He also has a big love for getting out into nature, with a passion for wild life and adventures.
After working steadily since the age of 13, Bowie has deliberately chosen to pour his energy into something that matters — supporting disadvantaged and at-risk young people and being the kind of steady, positive role model many kids don’t always get access to. He brings consistency, authenticity and hands-on life skills into every connection, helping young people build confidence, resilience and a sense of direction.
Naturally personable and brilliant with kids, Bowie has a knack for making young people feel comfortable, respected and genuinely seen. Whether it’s bonding over surf conditions, getting greasy in a shed, or simply having a real conversation when it matters most, he builds trust fast and keeps it strong.
Bowie’s values sit right at the heart of Connect Kids’ mission — walking alongside young people and families, breaking cycles of disadvantage, and backing young people to move from surviving to thriving. He believes change happens through real relationships, consistency, accountability and showing young people what’s possible when someone genuinely believes in them. No fluff, no shortcuts — just showing up and doing the work.
So whether he’s in the water, on the tools, around a campfire or standing beside a young person finding their feet, Bowie brings heart, grit and good energy wherever he goes — and we’re pretty stoked to have him on board.

If discipline, resilience and good old-fashioned mentorship had a face, it would probably look a lot like Carl.
Carl has spent more than 20 years working with young people through the Muay Thai gym he runs in Maroochydore. What started as a passion for martial arts quickly became something much bigger — a space where young people could build confidence, learn respect, and develop the discipline and resilience needed to navigate life’s challenges. Over the years Carl has coached, mentored and supported countless young people, many of whom credit him as one of the most positive influences in their lives.
Through the gym, Carl has seen firsthand how powerful the right environment and role models can be. He believes that structure, consistency and physical activity can create incredible opportunities for young people to regulate emotions, build self-belief and develop a strong sense of identity and purpose.
When he’s not in the gym, Carl is usually outdoors making the most of the Sunshine Coast lifestyle. Whether it’s fishing, camping, exploring the bush or catching a game of footy, he’s happiest when he’s surrounded by nature, good company and a bit of adventure.
Carl brings a calm, grounded presence to the young people he supports. He is known for his patience, straight-talking honesty and his ability to connect with young people who might otherwise struggle to engage. His mentoring style is built on respect, accountability and genuine care — creating safe spaces where young people feel supported while also being encouraged to step up and grow.
Carl’s values align strongly with the Connect Kids philosophy: that real change happens through strong relationships, positive role models and consistent support. He understands that many young people just need someone in their corner who believes in them and is willing to walk alongside them as they figure things out.
Whether it’s through training sessions, outdoor adventures or simply having a real conversation when it counts, Carl shows up with authenticity, experience and a deep commitment to helping young people build confidence, resilience and a better future.
We’re incredibly lucky to have Carl as part of the Connect Kids team.

Welcome to the vibrant world of Linnea, where adventure, compassion, and a love for people and animals come together in the best possible way. With a heart as big as her sense of humour (and a talent for a good chat), Linnea brings warmth, energy and positivity everywhere she goes.
Linnea has been surrounded by animals and the outdoors for as long as she can remember. She’s been horse riding and skiing since the age of two, growing up with a deep appreciation for nature, adventure and staying active. When winter rolls around, she’s just as comfortable on the ski slopes as she is spending time with animals or exploring the outdoors.
Family and connection have always been at the centre of Linnea’s life. She grew up in a home full of children, as her mum ran a child-minding business from their house throughout her childhood. For Linnea, that meant waking up every day surrounded by friends, laughter and plenty of chatter — which probably explains her love for a good conversation and her natural ability to connect with young people.
Her passion for working with children has taken her all over the world. Linnea worked in Courchevel, France as a Snow Ranger, helping guide children to their ski lessons and supporting them on the slopes. She has also volunteered in Costa Rica, where she helped rescue and release baby sea turtles into the ocean and supported the local community by helping clean and maintain a school.
These experiences have strengthened Linnea’s passion for supporting children, particularly through one-on-one mentoring, where she can build genuine connections and celebrate the small but powerful milestones each young person achieves. For Linnea, seeing a child grow in confidence and reach goals they once thought were impossible is one of the most rewarding feelings there is.
When she’s not working, Linnea loves travelling and spending time with her family in Sweden, where she returns every Christmas to reconnect with loved ones and soak up a little Scandinavian winter magic.
With her adventurous spirit, caring nature and ability to make people feel instantly comfortable, Linnea brings a wonderful mix of warmth, fun and encouragement to every young person she supports.

Meet Aaron — the laid-back legend with a creative soul, salty hair, and a heart as big as the ocean he loves to surf. Whether he’s chasing waves at sunrise, skating through the streets, hiking hidden trails, or getting lost in nature somewhere off the beaten track, Aaron thrives anywhere the outdoors meets adventure. Some say he was born with sand between his toes and a skateboard permanently attached to his feet.
But don’t let the surfer vibe fool you — Aaron’s also got an incredibly artistic side. He has a deep appreciation for Aboriginal dot paintings and loves immersing himself in the stories, culture, and creativity behind the art. When he’s not outdoors, you’ll often find him piecing together an epic Lego build, diving into the world of anime, or talking passionately about Jujutsu Kaisen like he personally trained alongside Gojo himself.
Aaron’s love for travel has taken him across the globe, with Japan and Portugal sitting proudly at the top of his favourite destinations list. Japan feeds his love for anime, culture, and incredible food, while Portugal stole his heart with its surf culture, coastline, and relaxed way of life. Honestly, if airports handed out frequent flyer points for daydreaming, Aaron would already be a millionaire.
Before stepping into support work, Aaron came from a trade background and can build just about anything you throw at him — including some seriously impressive Bali huts that look like they belong in a luxury resort magazine. He’s hands-on, practical, and always creating something cool, whether that’s with tools, timber, art, or imagination.
Above all though, Aaron brings calm energy, genuine kindness, and an easy-going nature that makes people instantly feel comfortable around him. He’s the kind of person who can connect with just about anyone — whether that’s through shared adventures, creative projects, deep chats, or simply sitting quietly watching the waves roll in.
So whether he’s catching waves, building masterpieces, or helping others feel seen and supported, Aaron brings authenticity, creativity, and good vibes everywhere he goes.
