At Connect Kids, we believe every child and young person has the right to feel safe, respected, heard, and supported. We share a collective responsibility to ensure that no child or young person is exposed to behaviour that makes them feel unsafe, uncomfortable, or afraid.
As adults working within Connect Kids, we are committed to listening carefully to children and young people and responding appropriately to any concerns raised about their safety or wellbeing. If we have concerns, we act and report them — even if we are unsure.

Ensuring all staff, mentors, volunteers, and contractors are appropriately screened, trained, and aligned with our commitment to child safety.
Promoting a culture where transparency, honesty, and open communication are encouraged and supported.
Maintaining clear processes to respond to concerns, disclosures, or incidents involving the safety of children and young people.
Equipping our team with the knowledge, skills, and awareness required to keep children and young people safe.
Regularly reviewing and improving our practices in line with the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations and relevant legislation.
Maintaining policies and procedures that clearly outline how we work together to safeguard children and young people.
Connect Kids will always act to protect children and young people from physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, and exposure to family or other violence.
Child safety is everyone’s responsibility, and at Connect Kids, it is at the heart of everything we do.
